FRANCESS TIGER, ARTS EDUCATOR/INTEGRATOR; [email protected]
Make something!
Alone or together, Art opens portals within you to connect and communicate, simultaneously giving and receiving, whether you are the artist or the viewer, and you are always both.
I teach, guide, and customize creative experiences and projects that will educate, connect, bring joy, beauty, solutions with you, your team, students, family, group, business or party. Let's.
From drawing as a child, through formal art education in traditional fine arts, to a degree in Graphic Design from Carnegie-Mellon, when I later pivoted to teaching Art and getting teaching credentials, I realized that Art in the broadest sense, serves as a container and vehicle to experience and communicate all content on all levels across all ages, barriers of separation, diversities, and thoughts.
Arts call to action immediately immerses you in the doing whether you can express any other language at all. Its actions are generally joyful using materials of choice in any way you please, from pleasure to purpose, serving both, integrating all.
Art is my recognized single subject teaching credential giving me some credibility to teach it with years I have done so professionally in many schools, private, public, religious, camps, workshops, lessons and conversations. Like a religion, Art embraces all, turns away no one, invites you to join, calls upon your higher beliefs if you continue to engage, builds skills to apply to real life as well as build imaginary ones, and connects you to yourself and the society and community you build it with and for.
Health and healing powers are often associated with the Arts as they call upon your truest self to create, share, using vison and muscles you didn't know you had. Art's magnitude is immeasurable, its benefits well documented, and finally given places in education to nursing homes. Knowing Art's vast gifts, it is still underserved, mistreated, cut, yet it survives.
You have it. I have it. Learn to call upon that creative spark within to communicate or express anything personally and professionally in ways that can speak to those who need to see it, and you who benefits from doing it and offering your Art to the world. All Arts; visual to performing, alone, together.
Comprehensively culminating in pictures, photos, songs, books, films, stage and screen, podcasts, radio shows, zoom visuals and zoom performances, live and recorded, our tools have arrived, inviting all to finally express with a level of satisfaction and understanding unparalleled previously. Thinking and acting like an artist can be better understood and achieved, critical thinking and problem solving skills learned by better experiences, applied to real world solutions, imagination, teaching flexibility and persistence towards a goal, exploration, and even comfort in the uncomfortable unknown. Artists and creative process and behaviors can be learned, are accessible and affordable, and will lead us forward while honoring the past, creating in the present towards a better future.
Engage with materials just because it's fun, interesting, feels good, looks wild or beautiful to you. Clay, for example, can drip, squish, mold, fire rock hard and break, and lasted through civilization informing us of our very history. Applying intent, clay can be a therapy, a toy, a model for a product, or imbued with such powers to incite war as the Holy Grail.
Art reflects life reflects art. Endless. Timeless. I am a conduit. So are you.
Make something. Let's.
Here's some of my history. I hope I'll be adding our collaboration to it. Thanks for connecting with me.
