TEMPLE SINAI OF GLENDALE, ca ; 2020 - 2023
I started teaching 3rd grade at Temple Sinai of Glendale during the pandemic, which is shown in the screenshots above of my "Home for the Holidays" edition of a virtual curriculum of my course, Reasons and Rituals of the Jewish Holidays. I instituted annual family gatherings, beginning on Zoom, of a Fall Shabbatgiving culminating a 6 class arts integration illustrating the days of Creation; and a Spring Family Seder for Passover. Post pandemic, I taught in person, hosting these family events.

Discovering master artist, Bruce David's work on line, "Reflections of the Soul", Francess was able to connect thru tech the vision this piece inspired by "Creating Art through Community". This first slideshow, and the video link on first slide, (or https://vimeo.com/66399083) document the process of turning this masterpiece into a three foot 20 piece stained glass created by 5th graders at Stephen S. Wise Religious School, Los Angeles, CA. Original music was lent by Mah Tovu band singing the prayer in this art. The final art was "performed" in front of the community with this live music as students pieced this together symbolizing the value and relationship of the individual to the whole. You matter; Art matters.
"I highly recommend you check out this video because what I saw was amazing! Francess has taken my art to a level that no other art educators I have worked with have been able to achieve. I highly suggest that everyone take the opportunity to bring her to your community. She will provide you a truly unique and wonderful learning experience in ways that will benefit your children and their lives."
